Barn Owl - needle felted sculpture

NEEDLE FELTED BARN OWL

This barn owl (Tyto alba) has been lovingly handmade using the dry needle felting technique, which involves using special barbed needles to sculpt the wool into shape.

It is made with the a variety of Corriedale and Merino wools and silk fibres over a wire armature. The beak and claws are waxed and the eyes are felted wool. It is perched on a vintage wooden spool and is approximately 33cm tall.

This little owl would love a little spot on your book shelf or nature table.

Please note this is not a toy as it has small parts and fibres which could be a choking hazard.
